The Extradition of Emperor William II
This lecture was presented by Professor Andre Klip on 1 November 2019 at the Westville Campus of the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
André Klip is Professor of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and the Transnational Aspects of Criminal Law at Maastricht University. Prof Klip has been a member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences since 2016. He has conducted research at Yale Law School, the University of New Haven, and the Max Planck Institute in Freiburg im Breisgau. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the International Association of Penal Law and founder and editor of the Annotated Leading Cases of International Criminal Tribunals (59 volumes since 1999). As director of the Maastricht Institute for Criminal Sciences he heads an interdisciplinary research group, which is frequently invited to conduct studies on crime and how to combat it. He is a judge at the ’s-Hertogenbosch Court of Appeal in the Netherlands.
